What to do with your Chosen Product

Hi,
This is a coming soon post, just a little preview of whats coming soon... a new tutorial being created is a how to guide of what to do with your chosen product from the Bartonleclaydesign store.

Each product has been set up individually to look great on its chosen product..you don't have to touch it if you wish not to, they all look awesome.

But we also leave ALL customization choices open, this means you can add text, move the image around..re-size it..and even add your own images...you can even change background color on-the-fly..so you can, for example change the shirt color of a cartoon critter..or the color of the fairytail castle. Allowing you to craft your own unique slant on awesome professional graphics...totally amazing isn't it...and all for free..you can do this right now over at the store, but don't forget to come back regularly and check out that post..we have some great techniques and tips for you..we what your product to look just magical so it will be great to have your company.

So Its being created right now buy some cartoon critters (yes we have a army of ants, squirrels,monsters and mice beavering away creating the awesomely exciting tutorial). In the meantime why not take 5 and check out the store. :)

OK i know people pass by this wonderful blog, and hey some even subscribe... word on the street is its picking up quite a cult following...but if your asking whats going on...how do i perhaps join this awesome cult? well guess what...its real easy....just bookmark this blog...website or store..that's it..all free and you don't really have to subscribe really...just pop by every now and again and see what's going on.

"Experimenting with new technology's"..as my mission statement says.. well i thought it might be nice to some Illustrations live as there being created, it will also serve as a record for myself for future interest.....I will be designing a few tutorials in my spare time to help out the curious.... OK This first one is a bit of a test, but we can call it a "NightDream"-style Illustration - Facade-style. Remember that its filmed in real-time..mistakes n' all...so it really took just 10 mins to create.. By the way this post is really for my benefit because i have never ventured into the world of videos before..but i dont mind you having a very special peek.

The Main Logo! The logo is representative of the local area, in the local style, inspired by the Village sign.

A quick summary is below -

*The Hills represent the Barton 'springs' (which is a nature reserve here). Together with clouds, and the main path, which leads into the reserve.

*The 'Design' font establishes traditional values, and a homage back to traditional English sign writing, this is also represented in the large 'D' and 'N', which also serve to continue the inner ring (which appears top and bottom).

*The Birdie at the bottom represents nature and wildlife. The 'Barton-le-clay' font is in a traditional typewriter font, representing print design appropriately!

All of this is tied up into a circular badge, its versatile, fun, interesting and better reflects my style of Illustration. (More on that soon, as well as more on older logos and why i decided to change them).

MAX Motherboard. A computer motherboard with all of the bits and pieces including SDRAM sockets, CPU, Fan, Serial, USB, Chipsets, Plugs, Chips, Battery and a few more bits!. With a touch of artistic licence thrown in, as the fan lights appear to be illuminated without any actual power plug!. This Illustration comprised over over 200 separate objects.

This geometric Island atoll is part of a small series of tests to create tropical islands as viewed from above, the other islands in the set are not geometric but irregular and more natural.

Details here include trees, foliage, beaches and coral lagoons, i expect to add much more detail when the technique is perfected, but as ever its the illustration that does all of the talking, so i shall let it.
